Hi all:
I just returned from the National Bike Summit in Washington DC. This was a conference with about 500 representitives from 47 states working to make the country a better place for cyclists.
I have taken particular interest in a program called Safe Routes to School http://www.saferoutesinfo.org/ This is a Federal program to encourage kids to ride or walk to school. There is federsl money available to our communities for this program. In the near future I will be working with local school and community leaders to implement Safe Routes programs in our communities.
I am looking for volunteers to assist me in presenting this program to school and community leaders. If you would like to get involved give me a call at 767-2405, or email me @ sxbike@aol.com.
